Charters depart and return from Holdfast Shores Marina. The marina is located right at the end of Anzac Highway in Glenelg. At the LAST roundabout turn right into an undercover car park. If walking follow the promenade around until you reach the Oyster Bar then look over the balcony. If the boat is not there when you arrive do not panic it will not be far away.
You will need to bring something to eat and drink (unless catering has been prearranged).
Hat, sunglasses, camera, soft soled shoes, sunscreen and a jacket (if cooler weather).
Feel free to bring a favourite rod if you wish.
We have a set of charter boat limits allowing each passenger.
1 Snapper over 60cm and 3 Snapper under 60cm but over the minimum length of 38cm.
10 King George Whiting over the minimum length of 31cm.
All fishing equipment, bait, ice, eskies, microwave, kettle, large onboard toilet and comfortable seating.
Fisheries have implemented rules that prohibit charter boats from filleting fish at sea.
In special cases fish may be gutted and gilled at sea (if you are staying in a hotel).
Bring an esky and leave it in your car. We are happy to ice your catch.
Unfortunately we have no control over who gets sick and who doesn’t. Precautions can be taken to reduce the chance though. Seasick tablets (start taking the night before), magnets and ginger are some of the remedies. Refraining from a big night at the pub prior to your charter is also a good idea.
No guarantees can be given that every charter will be a successful one.
What we can guarantee is that we will work as hard as we can to find fish and will also provide you with a quality of service second to none.
Snapper, King George Whiting, Flathead, Trevally, Blue Morwong, Sharks, Snook, Garfish, Squid, Blue Swimmer Crabs, Mackerel and various reef species.
The catch is usually divided evenly. In the case of larger or trophy fish these are kept by the angler who caught them.
